PHEASANT HUNTING CLUB
RULES AND PRIVILEGES

RULES

  • Reservations must be made in advance.
  • All hunters must check in prior to the hunt and check out before departure.
  • 50% blaze orange required.  Safety glasses and ear protection is suggested.  5 guns maximum/field.
  • NO alcohol prior to or during the hunt.
  • Hunters and their dogs must remain in their designated area at all times.  No trespassing on adjoining property or switching fields without permission -- check at the desk.
  • Guns must be unloaded & cased until hunters reach their assigned area and must be unloaded & cased prior to leaving the area.  Shot size is limited to #5 maximum.  12 gauge shells should be no longer than 2 3/4" & smaller gauges, no more than 3".  This includes European shoots. 
  • No shooting toward buildings, or in the two buffer zones.  Also, no shooting within 50 feet of any public roadway.
  • Cancellations (except due to snow storms) must be made 24 hrs. prior to hunt or you will be charged for the requested release. 
  • There is a 3 bird minimum release per adult gun.
  • No ground swattling birds. 
  • Members are responsible for making guests aware of all club rules, safety regulations, and ensure that the release & waiver form is signed.
  • Sportsmanlike conduct is expected at all times.  Owners reserve the right to cancel a membership with no refund for any conduct deemed inappropriate. 
  • Guides must be arranged at least the day prior to the hunt & should be done through the club.  There will be a $50 charge for failing to cancel within 24 hrs.  Tipping is encouraged. 
  • No guest may hunt without a member present.  Unlimited guests are allowed. 
  • Memberships are not transferrable or redeemable.  Corporate invoices must be paid within ten days of billing.  Members in arrears will be denied hunting privileges until balance is paid.  There is a $20 change for past due balances. 

PRIVILEGES

  • Club Hours:  We open at 8:00am Weekdays at 7:30am on weekends.   Afternoon hunts begin at 1pm til 5pm or dusk, whichever is first.
  • We have 240 acres of fields to challenge every hunter.
  • No daily bag limit.  You may shoot up to 20 at no additional charge. 
  • No hunting license is required.
  • Use your own dog, or request our guide service availability for $45/half day.
  • All hunters receive their own private area.
  • Walkalongs are welcome but must stay on the mowed paths. 
  • Youngsters 12 to 18 are always welcome at no extra charge.  Children under 12 are not allowed a firearm, but may accompany the hunting party.
  • Dog training areas are available for members only nearly every day.  Please call for availability.
  • Relax after your hunt with refreshments.  Food service upon request.
  • Bird cleaning service is available.
